Topic: I now have 100 gigs on my Zum |

I have had this guitar for about a year now, and I still love it. I have reached the 100 gig mark in a year and the Zum stays in tune, doesn't break strings and still looks great. I have been dragging this thing all over the state of Texas, both indoor gigs and outdoor gigs. It stays in the trunk of my old Camry,or our van to and from gigs. I don't baby this thing either. It is truly a work horse. It is nice to see a product that truly does what it is designed to do, and do it so well, gig after gig. Thanks Bruce for making such a quality product. I love this thing.

| Mark, I do not have a Zum but sure wish I did. They are great guitars. I don't guess I have heard anyone say anthing bad about a Zum and that speaks well for Bruce. |

| I have had my Zum for going on three years now. I haven't kept track of how many gigs, but we played over 30 this summer. It always performs well and gives me zero trouble! You can't go wrong with a Zumsteel. It is one of the best being built today! Larry J. www.countryexpressmusic.com |

(just kidding!)
I treat my old Carter the same way. It's ten years old this year, and still stays in tune great, and half the time I'm driving around with the legs still on it upside down in the back of the truck.

I Agree in all what you guys said.
- Bruce - for me - just the Master of making steelguitars - got my Zum D10 8/7 the 1 of march this year - tree month later I sold my Carter D10 (liked my Carter the 5 years I played on it) and ordered one more Zumsteel from Bruce - looking forward to get it Bruce.
Worth to wait to get it.

I've never kept track on gigs/instrument.
It's an interesting statistic.
How do you count them?
For example, if I play the same club Thurs thru Sat is that three gigs or one?
What if Saturday includes an afternoon matinee, in addition to the evening show?

People I have had a Zum Universal since 1991 and i quite counting the jobs after about 200 and that guitar still is my main practice guitar and it almost never falls out of tune. I also got a Double 10 that i play out when i can play out now due to my cancer but i think i can safely say i have play out over about 200 times in the last five years. Both my guitars play and work just like they came the day Bruce sent them.I will never own anything else other than a Zum.

| I've never played Zums but I love them too. The first steel I ever saw live onstage was a Zum. Zumsteels have a very pretty sound and they are very pretty to look at. Bruce Zumsteg is a great steel builder. Brett, Emmons S-10, Morrell lapsteel, GFI Ultra D-10 |

| I went to the Pedal Steel Guitar Association's annual steel show this past Sunday at Norwalk, CT. Randy Beavers was there and played on one of the new Zums with the Hybrid Changer. | Markus,I hope you didnt treat my BMI that I bought from you as bad as you do that new Zum.I mean 100 gigs in one year!!!! what are you doing to that poor thing.Iam kidding,if mine could talk it would tell some funny stories,I mean all the drunks that have fell on the floor,all the different names its been called (slide guitar,keyboard with strings,etc.)all the oohs and aww's from the 70 year old hottie sitting on the front row that actually get's the lure of the steel and appreciates it,not the 25 year old girl,damn it !!! the list goes on.Iam a player not a collector so I drag the crap out of mine all over Texas and she never complains she just hangs in there like a trooper.Now my volume pedal thats a different story,I think she's a home body,she's fine in the spare bedroom but on the road she does not like to work all the time.I mad at her right now !!! |

Wade, that old BMI of yours is built like a tank. I don't think you can hurt that thing. Tough as nails and still sounds great.

Mark, if i've told you and Wade once, I've told y'all a 100 times to give me the money at the end of each gig and I'd be sure the IRS got it.
