Ron Lashley Sr. Dated this as a 67 but other indicators say it's a 68. Whatever, it's a beauty and I love it. It is not for sale. Ser # 1263 D. I'm pretty sure the chevron logo is not original, and I know the fretboards are vintage correct (shiny metal, thin fret markers) replacements. Other than that, and added springs on the open tuner screws, all original. Has the Dixon sixth string split. I have a half stop on the sixth string lower, which is not hooked up, is useless, and I'll rewmove it. The guitar tunes and plays like a dream, and sounds fantastic. I Love this guitar....(and my Hybrid). Happy Thanksgiving...JW

John, She's a beauty and a half! You must be mighty proud.

I have 3 push-pulls and love em everyone! The black D-10 is a '66 bolt-on. The rosewood D-10 is a '71 fatback.

The little S-10 Emmons is also a '66 bolt-on. Small & lightweight, but still with a tone to die for

Looks wonderful John. And as I can attest, it sounds wonderful too. Glad to see the single coil back on the E9th neck (instead of the 710) also.

Hope you're well.

Your friend,
Chris "Tiny" O.

Hey John,
Would you believe my old Rosewood is #1264 D!!!
I guess we're related now.
Funny thing is, I remember when I got ahold of
it back in the mid 70's for $600 I called
over at Emmons and they looked up the serial#.
It was sent out in June of '69 to Weldon Myrick
who was a dealer for them back then.

Dear Chris, Happy Thanksgiving! Yeah the 710 was an experiment, and it's really just right to have the guitar as original as can be. Very best wishes to you and yours. Please let me know if you are playing within a reasonable distance from CT...I'd love to come and listen and say Hi...John

Dear Jay,

Thanks for the info on our consecutive guitars, every little bit of info helps. Now we need to find out who has 1262 and 1265....Anybody got any triva on the too cool red cases? Next time I take pics, I'll do it in natural light, and iron the sheet.....My best to you...John

John,
I am the proud owner of s/n 1260. It's black mica and now has 8/4 set-up. It also has a plastic Emmons emblem. I bought it from Seymour in 1999. The round corner case that I got has bright yellow lining. A previous owner had a small metal sticker engraved which is displayed in the right front corner that reads "1968 Emmons s/n 1260 D". My other Emmons is a 76 wooden neck double 10 s/n 2387 D that is on display in the "House of Wood" website http://www.mightyfinemusic.com/house_of_wood.htm
I'm really proud of these guitars. I'm also curious about the history of these guitars and looking forward to hearing from previous owners with any information that they may recall about them. Thanks for the opportunity to sing about mine. Yours looks really great and I'm sure you're proud of it.
Ronnie
