I always thought Thanksgiving was the biggest thing on a Thursday in November, but this may change my mind...
If you can get yourself to Wilsonville, Oregon this Thursday evening between 6 and 9pm, you’ll have a chance to see Speedy West’s original Bigsby T8 in all its newly restored glory, courtesy of Deke Dickerson and event host Bob Muller. If you need directions call Bob at 503) 570-0111. |

Maybe we have to post this in the "STEEL GUITARS FOR SALE" to get anybody to care, Russ? (no, Speedy's steel isn't for sale, but would love to see some people as excited about this as I am!!) |

Definitely more of an early Christmas, than a late thanksgiving. I already called Bob, three people coming in our car! Thanks for setting this up Russ. Excitement level is a 10! |

I am looking forward to seeing all the players, and the guitar!! There is plenty of parking in the drive way at the end of the house. If you have a collectible guitar bring it to show also. |

I care a whole bunch Deke and Russ. Unfortunately, I’m more than walking distance away. Any chance one of y’all good folks could post pictures of the event?
BTW, Russ, I’m still waiting pictures of the guitar you built with those headstocks you got from me! |

Just amazing! The lodestone of steel guitar history. Kudos to Deke and Todd for preserving such important steel guitar history. Todd's work is impeccable.
Too bad the general public is unaware of how much Speedy influenced American music. But WE know! _________________ Steel Guitar Books! Website: www.volkmediabooks.com |

Yeah, Kudos to Todd and Deke is right! Also thanks to Bob and JW and Russ for hosting and entertaining and coordinating. You all are very generous with your time, resources and experience! Here’s a few pics.
I have some videos front and center, but I don’t want to share without consent from the players (especially Deke). If you performed and want me to share, I can provide YouTube or google drive links, or post them here. |
