Thank you ALL so much for the kind words!!! Ricky...thank you for standing that picture upright for me and ALL the other great advice and contibutions you have made to the Forum and for the love of Steel Guitars...namely...Sho~Bud!!
Paul, yes that old Sho~Bud seat turned out wonderful!! Thanks for selling it to me.
The dust cover was made by Glady Rienhart of Rienhart's Embroidery shop here in Albert Lea, MN.
JR Rose that is a GK MB 500 amp in the Tommy Huff Cabinet! Tommy Huff and Kevin Hatten are both top of the line craftsmen!!! I of course "Embelished" them with the name tags etc.
I have also put together a photo book on the rebuild of the "Rose". I am ordering it through Walgreens photo shop. In case anyone would like a copy, they will cost me $30 each plus shipping so I could send you one for $35. I will be sending one out (no cost) to the man who originally built this Beauty....Gene Haugh. I can't thank Gene enough for all the info he has given me on this Bud. Also thank you to Billy (on Ebay) who listed the body shell on Ebay in April of 2017.

It was hard to keep track of it all, but the total cost of this project was very close to $5,500. But, you all know it is "Priceless" to me!!!
Thanks again to all, hope your Thanksgiving was great and I wish you ALL a very Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years!
Sincerely,
Neil

Beautiful setup. Supurb craftsmanship. Lots of pretty unique accents. Only one problem. That setup is so pretty, It needs a set of padded road covers to protect the beauty.
Loading and unloading !!!, through doors with closers !!!, setting them down in the parking lot !!!, Big Joe's help to stage !!!. I would be nervous as a long tail cat in a nursing home full of rocking chairs. What if something gets scuffed or some kind of smear on it. 1 beautiful setup. |

Neil, Does the Super Pro II have the same common under carriage as the standard Super Pro? I play a Super Pro D10. I heard that the very few Super Pro II had a advanced type of under carriage. |

Bobby you are right.......I do think the cases should have protective "cases". Will look into how I will handle that!
Kevin, this Super Pro II had the "special undercarriage" unlike the regular Super Pros when originally built, But the guitar went in storage when Sho-Bud closed because it was not completely finished and has no serial number. It then got "scavenged" and parted out I assume. You can search these threads for the story I put here in 2017. I had to use mostly regular Super Pro parts to bring it back to life.
There were only 7 true Super Pro II's finished and sold. There were several more made with the Super Pro II Decals on....but were actually regular Super Pros.
Below... picture is a TRUE Super Pro II undercarriage. Very different than the regular ones.

Neil, Thanks for posting the Super Pro II undercarriage. Their is no other guitar I would rather own than one of the original seven. That Sho Bud, I bet sounds like Angels Humming!!!! Would be neat to hear one. Do you take "The Rose Bud" out to play?? I would be scared. I have a Super Pro D10 that super clean. I play it out doing county fairs during the summer. I set it up and tear it down with gloves on just to avoid oil from my hands getting on the polished aluminum parts. |

Kevin,
I had her out to play her first and only gig so far, on Sept.6 here in Albert Lea at the Marion Ross theatre. It was for our daughter Stephanie's tribute to Legendary Ladies of Country Music (Loretta, Tammy, Dottie & Patsy). With the family her sons Beau & Josh and her mom & dad Me & Barb. I also have 3 other Super Pro's more on the "work horse" side! So, I wouldn't take her out for just any job. We do not play out very much any more. She played and sounded like a "Sho~Bud" should!!
thanks,

Wow! Those are the first cases I've ever seen that you likely need cases for. Everything looks stunning. Good work, SBF. |

Really special Neil...
Looks like a keeper for sure and that amp cabinet by Tommy is great.
The cases and cover... What can I say that no one else has said.
Now I'll have to come visit again if I'm headed up I-35 some time in the future.
Would be nice to hear you playing again.
Best of pickin' on that beauty,
