Terry is such a great player. I remember Charlie Stepp was so proud that he was playing his guitars.

A great clip and even greater steel ride. Reba at her best perhaps. And Gary, I would like to know who she married that was a steel player? I just do not know.

Narvel Blackstock played steel for Reba before and shortly after they married.
Dave Stroud, did you get the green Derby? That was my favorite of the Derby's that Terry played.

Me and my wife was in Vegas last week and she knew how in love I've always been with Reba since she first made her mark in Country music. She surprised me with tickets to see her along with Brooks & Dunn. Beautiful as always along with her beautiful voice, yeppers that made my trip complete. Dang I waited too long to pick up the steel, sitting here now telling myself I might of had a chance, oh well she's a lot better off without me.   |

I know this is a little off topic of just appreciating Terry’s playing, but looking at his left hand technique...it’s a bar grip very similar to Buck Reid’s. I can see that it facilitates the forward slant. I have tried and can’t for the life of me figure out how to get control of the bar that way. Anyone else? |

The last I heard the Blade was with Buddy's son Larry. Buddy gave Terry a guitar long before he past. I could be wrong. But think it was a Bolt ON that had been modified with a Franklin undercarriage. Again, that was years ago. Pretty sure that's correct. However, I wouldn't bet the farm on it.

I've known Terry since he started playing. He's always held the bar that way. I told him it looked weird. He said it felt natural. At any rate, don't seemed to have hurt his playing that much.

| I tried using that left hand position. It felt pretty comfortable, but for some reason it made doing bar slants more difficult. I ended up going back to the more traditional way of holding the bar, and now I can slant the bar better. I still don't understand why that was an issue, it just felt awkward for some reason, but Terry can sure make it work. He has always been one of my very favorites. |

| I think Terry Crisp is the best commercial pedal steel guitarist in the world that did not spend a lifetime day after day in a recording studio. Reba should be honored to be on the same stage with Terry. |
