Thanks Chris, got to see him open for Merle on his last tour here in n.j. Thought he was great, and you did play for him for a while, is that correct?
Nice interview, humble guy. _________________ Regards, Craig

Hi Craig, yes, I played for Marty for one tour. He was making a transition from old habits.
He was great to play for, sounding just like Merle without the pressure of playing for a superstar.
We played in a biker bar in a town called Cut And Shoot, in Texas. North of Houston. Quite a place.
I was a little nervous.
I remember that because my suitcase was broken into and I lost some nice cowboy shirts and a pair of Justin boots that I got in El Paso.
My favorite song to play with him was "I Never Go Around Mirrors".
He also had a nice semi hollow body Telecaster like his dad played. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5
