The doohickies on the right side of the Shobud steel that you turn with a wrench to tune the pedal pulls. My steel was rebuilt and those doohickies are now octagonal nylon? I need to know where I can get more of these

OK, regarding these things, this is a newbie question.
On my GFI D10, these things are nylon.
When I tune my pulls, there is quite a stretch feeling. It works, but feels a bit weird.
Why are these made of plastic? |
