That's a very generous offer, Mike. All of you should take him up on this deal - it's great music!

Mike that's generosity personified. Just received my download and listened to a few tracks. I can only say that it's an eye opener on what can be done with your 8 strings and talent, plus a group of like minded and simpatico musicians.
Keith.

Hey Mike,

Thank you for you generous offer! Your album has been on my wish list, but the past year has been a hard one (direct hit 13 months ago from Hurricane Irma here on St John) so my funds have been rather limited. So Happy Birthday Mr Monk, and a good day to you Mr. Neer!

Bumpin' this up because some of us (including me) missed it the first time. Sample these tracks and you'll find things you like. Bemsha Swing is so fine--reminds me of Oz Noy, who is one of my favorite electric guitarists. Great work, Mike.

I missed the free offer, but I've heard quite a few tracks on the jazz show on KRFC-FM here in Fort Collins, CO. It's on my list of steel guitar recordings to pick up.

This is the first time I have really listened to this album I suppose because my ability on the lap steel has slowly increased and can really appreciate what is going on.

Be interesting to know what amp was used.

Certainly on the buy list.

Thank you for purchasing and for your kind words.

The coolest thing about this recording's sales is that most of the people who have purchased it are not steel players at all. I have lost count of sales, but they are healthy.

The CD refuses to die. There are some cool things going on now that I really can't talk about, but hopefully in time there will be some good news.

PS: Mick: I used mostly a 70s Fender Twin Reverb, a Deluxe Reverb, and a Fender Bronco (for Ask Me Now, which I recorded in my studio). They all have a little different sound. The main mic was an old Altec birdcage mic.

Thanks for the info Mike. Appreciated.
I must say that since purchase it has been on every day and I hear more and more going on.

From what you say about sales, lets hope that more and more people are getting to know the sound of the steel guitar. I still get asked "What is that instrument?" as we all probably do.

Can't wait for your next project.
