Hey guys. Do emci guitars have the rx5000 number sticker under them like the range expanders did? Also, is there a way to know the year based on what the serial number is?

Quentin, I have an EMCI and my serial number is located on the bottom lip of one of the endplates. On the end of the key head. Then it is also a sticker on the inside of the same endplate. The endplate has the model and serial number along with where the guitar was built l. Mine was built in Arlington,Tx. The first ones were built in Waco,Tx.

My MCI Rangexpander - also built in Arlington just has the serial number stamped on the left hand end plate --
LA3067.... I received it on 18th April 1986 if that helps dating your guitar, which would be later of course.

I still have this guitar :-}
