Hello fellow steelers...I have a Webb amp and was wondering how the stereo steel rig stacks up with the Webb? I love playing in stereo when room permits...Any thoughts would be appreciated. I'm considering purchasing one. |

George, I regularly play out with either my Webb, now with a Telonics 15, or SS, through Telonics cabs with a BW 15 in one, upgraded JBL in the other; love them both!
For tone and versatility I give a slight nod to the SS. For quick gigs and just a simpler packing in and out, I use the Webb. I'm still working to figure out how to use true stereo FX with my SS rig, need to reach out to Gerry Walker for some details, he's always a great help and builds a great unit. _________________ E9 INSTRUCTION

I have a Walker Stereo Steel rig, and as John says, when there is room on stage to go Stereo, it is a really nice unit to gig with.
The parallel effects-loop is a feature most combo amps don't offer, and that is something that makes the effects sound really great. I am using a Lexicon LXP-1 with mine. |
