I have looked for that teaching video and can't find it. I'm pretty sure years ago I saw him telling us how he did that.
Or, does someone here know how to do it like he did it.
Pretty cool thing to have in your bag of tricks. |

I've crashed more cars than I'd like to admit & was able to do so successfully without instruction. _________________ Excel Superb D10, Sarno Black Box or Freeloader, Goodrich L120, Boss DD5, Baby Bloomer, 1965 Super Reverb chopped to a head, feeding a mystery PA cab w/ a K130.

You 😂 so funny!
Do you know what I’m talking about? He made the coolest car crash sound on his steel. I’ll post that video. |

Nope. Not familiar, but now I have to see/hear it. _________________ Excel Superb D10, Sarno Black Box or Freeloader, Goodrich L120, Boss DD5, Baby Bloomer, 1965 Super Reverb chopped to a head, feeding a mystery PA cab w/ a K130.

Yep. That’s it. Thanks a lot John.
Another thanks to Bill Ferguson too.
Is that really cool or what?
I think there’s a video out there of him showing how he did it. I’ve looked everywhere for it. Can’t find it. |

Can't help with the video but I've seen him do it. He used a Boss Tone for the distorted sound.
Probably any real gritty fuzz machine will give you that sound, the rest is in the technique.
I've seen it done on a fiddle too. Dragsters, bikes, drag races, open wheel racers etc. all can be done with that technique. |

I don't think he ever made a video of the race. I ask him to show me how to do it and he refused. He told me it would ruin my career. I don't and didn't have a career but that was his answer. |

I can do that. But it's hard to drop the bar on a Uni. Just dug out the old Bosstone in the last week or so. Been slowly getting back to Steel after a year out.

That’s funny Archie. I guess you will need to buy a double neck to do it right.
If you figure it out, let me know. |
