To beginners: check out what Doug is doing here. This is a perfect lesson on pick blocking, with palm blocking as needed. Nothing feels hurried or cut off. Strings are allowed to sustain but are stopped from ringing at just the right times.

Thanks for posting this Andy. I spent my childhood summers in Falmouth, Cape Cod, and I have fond memories of those days. I'm glad you like the video and happy to hear that it reminds you of the Cape. While you were on the Cape last week, I was up on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.

I'm using a Boss delay on this song, which creates a little whisper of echo after each note or chord is played. That draws the sound out a little more, not enough to distract from the original notes, just a hint of repeat.
