Is this a double 10 conversion or did they make them with all the extra holes in end plate for production reasons. I’m thinking it’s been converted from a double 10 Thanks in advance
Surprised

You can't really tell from how the endplate is drilled, because the factory made loafers both ways. Some were drilled for the top neck only, and others were drilled for both.

if the serial number has "ST" it's a factory loafer, if it has a "D" it's a converted D10

I have one that is stamped "ST" and was never routed out for the C6 changer. If yours isn't routed for a changer on the back neck, it couldn't have been a D10 unless it has been plugged an re flocked. And, unless it has had the mica replaced, you could remove the pad to see.

Thanks Dale yours sure looks good underneath. I like the sd10 better than s10 but would do away with pad or make a very thin flat pad. I would think one like yours would be worth much more than a S10 pp they are probably pretty rare.

I have an sd10 that was shipped from the factory with a D in front of the number. I have the factory invoice. It has a cutout for a C6th pickup.
