Ahhhhhh, what nostalgia! Just think, in the heyday of the club, one could see all those famous artists for only $5. I guess the other $195. of the ticket price
must be for the BBQ--I wonder what kind of meat/critter costs that much.
Let me share a few of the memories as I played there many times with many different bands. Standard equipment for any musician playing that club,
bring a small flashlight to inspect your drink for intruders; otherwise, buy a capped drink. Re: the food, I sure hope they plan on tenting the building prior to the BBQ.

Agreed. I've never quite understood the aura of prestige surrounding the Pal. Not being a native of either California or southern California in particular, it was just another dive bar to me.. There, I said it. Shocked

Depends on which era. In the 70's and probably before it was the only stop in Socal for major country artists. I saw so many Bill Monroe, Mel Tillis, Asleep at the wheel, Johnny Gimble, on and on. Also used to go there on Tuesday nights when it was just the house band to watch Jaydee.
