The San Antonio Steel Guitar Association holds a fundraiser each fall to raise monies for The Warrior and Family Support Center located in San Antonio at Fort Sam Houston. This year the “Family Fest” event will be held on Sunday Sep 16th from noon until 7. There will be multiple bands performing, food plates, and a silent auction and raffles. This is our 7th year for this event and we have raised over $20,000 for this worthy cause.
We are asking for donations of any kind to support this event. We would love to have CDs (particularly if they are of you), any type of equipment or instruments, cables, effect boxes, etc, or other items of general interest, or cash. I have received a few items in the mail, so thank you to those who've sent in items. There is still time to donate something. We are looking for items we can sell at our silent auction, as well as items of general interest. For example, if you made a CD and have extra copies, we would love to have them. We can provide a 501(c)(19) if requested.
The benefit will take place on Sunday, Sep 16 at The Turner Club in Kirby TX from noon until 7:00. Everyone is invited with a special invitation to active and retired military and their families. Monies raised go to The Warrior and Family Support Center at Fort Sam Houston here in San Antonio.
