My wife Kayla and I have recently moved back to Texas. We live between San Antonio and Houston off I-10 in Schulenburg. I am still driving truck for a living but hope to play a little too. _________________ Johnny "Dumplin" Cox

Smart move Johnny, my daughter just flew back to Lubbock today for school. Hope to follow her in a few years once my youngest is graduated. _________________ Regards, Craig

Johnny, do you drive long haul? I never could figure out how to do that and have any kind of life other than driving long haul haha. That's why I've driven construction (mixers currently) since the early 80s. Driving construction is harder work but keeps you home every night. Good luck with your new home. |

My former boss just offered my wife and me a dedicated route with a 4 day week _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

Bobby, I do drive long haul. I'm usually out 3 to 4 weeks then home for 3 or 4 days. I'm enjoying this because my wife and my dog both travel with me. Maybe in a few years I'll get something more regional where I'm home more. _________________ Johnny "Dumplin" Cox

Well more power to ya Johnny. It takes a special kind of person to run that kind of schedule.
Lane, are you thinking about taking that job? That really doesn't sound too bad. I wish I had 3 days off - been working 6 for yrs now. |
