So a steeler friend drives 250 miles, picks me up, drives another 25 to another one of my steeler friends home, speed down to the basement to see a Mullen G2 with 8&10.

Smiles for miles. Yes he bought it. Went upstairs to where the wife was standing, knowing that the guitar was leaving and a check was in hand. Smiles for miles.

I later contacted both parties to see how they were doing, smiles for miles.

I had a friend from Texas come to the Dallas show, saw Jay Dee play his PP, had to have one, got one, I could see his teeth glinting in the Texas sun all the way to Oregon.

I had a student come for a lesson, he had a job that night, he called the next morning happy as can be that what we talked about actually worked, he was happy, the band was happy, he was giggling all over the phone.

It is good to be a part of this community, because it brings a smile to my face as well.

Portland steel jam Sep 9th, more smiles for miles, I promise.

Larry, I enjoy reading your thoughts and feeling your passion for the steel guitar and it's community. The community needs more people like you to inspire and excite others about the instrument we love.

I know I get a lot of motivation through your positive and uplifting attitude.

Thanks a bunch.

Great story Larry. We have all been on one end or the other of this happy ending. Spreading the joy and seeing our fellow musicians receive the excitement of that special buy. Warms the heart.
