I have a '73 LDG, and recently the B pedal goes flat when I engage B and C together. It does not go flat when I press B pedal first, then C... Looking under the guitar I cannot figure out why B will not pull all the way, as no mechanics seem to be in the way. I do raise string 8 a whole tone on C pedal (it still does it if I take the change away). I can't imagine it's cabinet drop, as B does not go flat if I engage it Before the C pedal... I'm hoping someone hear can shed a little light of what's going on!?
Thanks!

Are both 3rd and 6th strings affected? |

Are you using a plain or a wound sixth string? I had this problem on my '73 6139 rack and barrel. It went away when I switched from plain to wound .022.
Adding three raises could well be inducing cabinet drop (axle flex, whatever we want to call it or attribute it to). This would fit with the change in the raised B pedal tuning after the C pedal is applied. |

Another question --- any difference between slowly pressing the B pedal alone vs. a fast stomp? |

Just the 6th string.
No difference in a fast stomp vs slowly pressing.
It does raise to the proper pitch when I reach under and grab the rod. |
