Hello,

Looking for $1500 + Shipping

I am putting up my Long Scale Stringmaster up for sale. I had originally planned on keeping it but life gets in the way.

The guitar is in good shape with no major damage just knicks and such from use over the years. The original bridge pickup in the lower neck needs to be rewound. Right now I have a new SM pickup in there and the guitar works and sounds great. The new one sounded just like the old one so I decided to keep it in. The guitar was went over professionally so everything works great.

The steel comes with the original set of legs which work and need rubber feet. It also comes with a new replacement set of legs that work excellent as well.

The guitar has both of its original pickup covers and one of the bridge covers.

Here is a list of everything included in the sale:

1. Long Scale Stringmaster
2. Original case in good shape
3. New production neck and bridge pickups. (Bridge PU installed)
4. Original legs
5. New set of legs
6. A new set of Kluson Tuners
7. Original PU (needs rewind)
8. Two pickup covers and one bridge cover

What do you mean by "pickup covers"?

The covers themselves sit between the two pickups on the neck above the strings. The two covers are located the next to the tuners on the 6th photo. Thanks!

Victor,
I own a few of the early Stringmasters and have never seen that on any of the guitars I have.

Erv, looks like a palm rest or something like that, not to really protect the pickups?

Hi Victor,
I am very interested in this guitar. I have a 1953 long scale quad, but it's getting too big and heavy to cart around. I would be happy to arrange for it to be shipped to the UK. If you would consider this, please give me a rough idea of the shipping costs.

Very Best. BJ

Yeah, Erv--I've only seen those used as bridge covers on the early 26" scale V1 Stringmasters.

Mark,
Yes, on the early Stringmasters the bridge cover screwed down.
On the later models, the bridge cover pivoted off the bridge rod so you could access the blender knob.

The "pickup covers" are almost certainly not original equipment, somebody must have made and added them, probably as a custom palm rest as suggested. Still looks like a honey of a guitar. These long scales are my favorite. Good luck!
