I just got a new Bill Lawrence XR-16 pickup for my Mullen. I want to wire it with a switch for single coil and humbucker mode. The diagram I have seen has green and red wires together on one side of a spst switch. The other side of the switch to ground. There is no green wire on the pickup. Just red, black and white. How do I wire this up to split the coils? Or can I?

Assuming white is humbucker signal out, red is midpoint between coils, and black is GND, a switch connecting red to black should (sort of) turn it into a single-coil.

If you have a multimeter, check the resistances of the various pairs. One pair should be higher than the other two. Probably the white and black.
And the red in the middle.
In other words, I think Georg is right, but a multimeter confirmation would be a good thing.
