Beard Vintage R Square Neck with Nashville Pickup - $1400, free shipping.
This guitar’s finish is an auto body dark blue metalflake and hardware is all black. Unique and dynamic looking instrument. It’s the only one like this that Paul ever made. I picked the color and thought that the black hardware looked very good with that.
It has seen some roadwork but is in very good shape. Sounds really good acoustically and plugged in. R Models smaller body produces a clear sustained high range balanced with a punchy growling bass end.
This Fishman Nashville™ pickup has been installed. Sounds great with Fishman Nashville™ Aura® Imaging systems direct into the PA or through an amp.

Oh..
I see custom binding and inlay on this guitar. The V-R is normally unbound!

The first generation with the white cap and the thick metal pice sandwiched between the cap and base:
...or the improved version which came out in 2013 where they eliminated the thick metal piece and the cap is black:

The former. But it has an ebony cap. I guess I got one of the good ones. I’ve had this guitar over 15 years with no problems. Got it brand new,made to my specs by Paul.

Good to know.
And unless the pickup itself was custom from Paul and a "one off" for you, isn't the cap just ebony colored? Actual wood materials were found to be too soft for good sound transfer when they were developing the pickup so they went with the man made material Tusq.
