this morning I visited with a very dear friend of mine Jeff Surratt of Show Pro guitars, after my recent purchase of a gorgeous SD10 Show Pro “Lloyd Green “ model I was so impressed with this incredible instrument I decided to order a new D10 ...

Show Pro Shop at Mt. Jouliet in Tennessee

I decided to go with beautiful sunburst finish D10 ... however, Jeff does a custom work, and you could order all kinds of different custom options... wood for my Show Pro is already on the working bench 😊...

Jeff with the planks of maple for my D10 Show Pro ...

Show Pro guitars are used by many session players, and Show Pro guitars can be heard on countless hits coming out of Nashville recording studios... due to its popularity among pro players, Jeff is busy 24/7 building these awesome instruments , any day of the week you can see parts of the guitars being built all over his shop...

cabinets for the guitars being built...

Jeff says he will keep me updated with the building proces of my new guitar, and as soon as I get a new picture I will post it here... I’m very excited about my new Show Pro and can’t wait to see how the work on it progresses 😊

Jeff is a great builder , and even better person. Can't beat that combination. Hard to find in this "all about me world".

Jeff is a class act. He has always been so helpful and generous to me, and he builds a great guitar. Congrats on the
guitar Damir! Can't wait to see it once she's cooked.

thanks guys, I picked sunburst see through finish, I can’t wait to see it either 😊 ... reason for this choice of finish is my very first steel was Fender 800 in sunburst finish, so it’s something close to my heart... my Dad and my Mom bought it for me back in 1988, so it brings back some memories very dear to me...

Do you get a discount for every mention of the name? I count 9 "Show Pro"'s in that original post counting the thread title. Laughing

I'm new around here and only been playing for a year, but I ordered a new Show Pro too!

I'm getting black cherry burst on a Lloyd Green model. I can't wait to get it. My Sierra Artist is okay, but I'm definitely in this for the long haul and felt I need a great steel I'll grow with.

Damir, I acquired #29 this past March...I’m the third owner. Sent it to Jeff and had him go through it and put my set up on it then drove down and picked it up. Great guy and a great guitar.

Love the sunburst finish. This was one that A.J.Nelson did when he was still with Show-Pro.

Hi Damir
So glad that you decided to pull the trigger on a new Show Pro. Jeff's guitars just have incredible tone right across the full length of the fret board. I believe that Show Pro and MSA dominate the high end custom shop pedal steels available today. Some people think that the Show Pro is a Sho~Bud with a different decal. Wrong. The tone of a Show Pro IMHO is considerably different to that of a 'Bud, but both sound great.

Jeff Surratt happens to be a superb player who knows what constitutes good tone. When I first got my Show Pro home to England after picking it up from Jeff's shop in Nashville, I quickly recognised that it had a huge tone. You will have a guitar for life and your D10 (when you get it) will absolutely be a keeper.
