Check my website for updates:
https://milkmansound.com/collections/amplifiers/products/the-amp
We will start shipping these units very soon!
My advice would be to pre-order through one of my dealers. The first run is nearly sold out already, and its going to be a while before the second production run happens. There will be plenty of reviews, posts and opinions once these hit the streets |

Per www.milkmansound.com, the teeny powerhouse of an amp should be starting shipment to dealers by Aug. 14th.
I have one pre-ordered... and can't wait to try it out! _________________ Dave Wren

Hey Tim,
Great looking amp! Are you planning on having these ready to ship (once you catch up a little on orders), or will it be like your other amps, made-to-order with a wait time?
Edit: I now see your comment above (oops) about the first run nearly being sold out. I will have to take my chances for now.
It looks like I will be heading back to the Philippines around the end of the year if/when I sell my house.
Getting gear there or shipped there is always a problem, and often triples the price (purchase, plus shipping and then customs fees). But this I could fly with in my backpack, works on the local voltage, puts out plenty of power for my needs, has reverb, and headphone out - pretty much all I need to practice or jam with friends (except the speaker, of course). I'd order one today, but my cash-flow was seriously hampered by hurricane Irma 11 months ago, so have to sell the house before I can buy any gear! _________________ Bringing steel guitar to the bukid of Negros Oriental!

Wow, this looks incredible! I'm wondering about the headroom - volume-wise, is it more like a 50-100w tube amp or 50-100w solid state.
Thanks. _________________ www.susanalcorn.net

we are shipping The Amp to all dealers this month (Sept).
The Amp has tons of headroom - and 50 watts is 50 watts no matter how you shake it. There is plenty of power for steel guitar for most gigs, and yes you can use it all over the world without any need for a power adapter.
If you are familiar with my Half and Half model, this is essentially the same thing but in pedal form. A little over 2lbs and sounds quite nice with pedal steel

I’m on a tour of Europe at the moment using “the amp†and so far it has been amazing. The configuration of output options is a lifesaver. I did a show in a bookstore in Brussels a couple days ago where I plugged it into the house stereo system and it sounded great. I toss it in my carry on bag and guarantee myself a fully responsive amp and a beautiful tone.
Susan,
It should be plenty of an amp for you. You can grab a powered monitor or run into the pa if you don’t have a speaker cab handy. Or use both. It is very loud when I run it through my single 12 JBL cab. I can bring it to Maryland when I’m there in a few weeks so you can check it out. _________________ Bob |

Very cool, Bob. Are you using a transformer over there or will The Amp run on 220v? |

No need for a transformer. Also no need to switch any voltage settings. Just plug and play. Very well thought out configuration. Extremely practical with the added bonus of sounding better than just about any othe amp. _________________ Bob |

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh……
Well, UPS delivered my "THE" today, at 5:00pm, at 7:30 I was gigging with it.
I have it paired with a BW 1501, in a reconditioned PV 1-12 cabinet....
Wow, it just sounded great. Tonight was the first of 5 gigs in a row, all kinds of venues from a large casino, to an outdoor gigs, and everything in between.
I'll report back on Monday.... but so far I'm loving this little guy!
Thanks Tim, I really didn't mind waiting, it was worth it. _________________ Dave Wren

this is on the site:
NOTE TO PRE-ORDER CUSTOMERS: SEP. 4TH 2018
The Amp will begin shipping to dealers this week. Depending on where you ordered and how far you are from the US the day you receive your amp may vary a little, but its safe to assume that most of you will have The Amp in hand soon. Thank you everyone for your patience during this process. - Tim |

Well, after 5 days of gigs to test drive this new little amp, I'm really pleased with it.
I have had, during the last week, the chance to play small pub venues; a large casino (with no cabinet, using the direct out into the house PA); and an outdoor gig.
I'm pleased to say the amp was wonderful in all applications.
As an added note, before the amp arrived I ordered a padded case for a Markbass "Big Bang" amp head, and the Milkman fits into this secure case like a glove. _________________ Dave Wren

I got one Thursday and played a medium size club Friday and smaller venue Saturday.
Outstanding sound and plenty of power.I even had to turn the master down in the smaller venue to hit the sweet spot.
I usually use a deluxe or Showman and I like this better.
Fits on my pedal board, very even response On all strings.very warm
Gotta love it |

John,
Sorry I didn't push it more. Things were sorta chaotic. I should be back in not to long. I'll do more promotion next time. _________________ Bob |

Thanks Bob! I’m assuming you’re using an 8 ohm speaker? Have you tried with 4ohms? |
