Is it a hard feat to add a pull? Specifically, the RKL pull that will raise string 2 a half-step, from Eb to E?... Or is it something a tech should do? It SEEMS like it wouldn't be that difficult, but as with anything, looks can be deceiving.

What kind of guitar? Most modern all pull guitars are easy to add on. Just takes a pull train, that is a pull rod with a tuning nut and a bell crank. It's a half step raise and pretty easy to time. Probably middle hole on the raise changer finger scissor and about the same position on the bell crank, making sure there is adequate travel at the lever stop.

Pretty basic mechanics for diy'er. Some players have a 1st string raise a whole tone on the same lever in which case you would have to fiddle with the timing of the two.

For just adding the 2nd string a half tone, piece of cake.

If you have the 1st string raise to a full tone you can just tap into that bell crank with a rod, use an upper hole on the bell and top hole on the changer for the second string.... that will get you close, tweak accordingly.

Time the pull so the second string starts to pick up when the first string is up a half step, this is where experimental comes in with different holes.

What kind of guitar?
If it's a modern all-pull, it's as easy as stated.
If you have a pull-release guitar, it becomes harder. Doable, but tricky.
