I'm interested in selling (for buyer pickup) my 1969 Fender Twin Reverb amplifier. Beautiful sounding amp in very good condition, very clean overall, blackface specs.
It just had a full tune-up/service by Bill Ussery at Austin Tone Lab. I asked him to go through it and fix whatever needed fixing. He cleaned the pots, jacks, tube sockets; replaced bad bias resistor and cap; replaced line cord (3 prong); set the bias, touched up some bad connections, disconnected ground switch. Circuit has been changed to blackface specs. Tubes are fairly new and in great shape. Includes the original orange-label Utah speakers.
No tears in tolex or grill cloth. Original reverb/tremolo pedal included. The faceplate has a fair amount of wear on it. The tremolo is currently not working. Bill rebuilt it but it's still not working, which leads him to believe the problem is the connection underneath the fiberboard. He didn't have time to take off the fiberboard and I needed it back for a gig. Just haven't gotten around to bringing it back and don't use tremolo much anyway so not a priority for me.
Looking to get $875.
