Many, many people commented on the great tone that Del Mullen had with his new D-10 at the convention this year. Del says its the new way they are winding their new "Standard" pickups. Where did this great sounding guitar go? It just so happens that my good friend C.B. Blackwell in Florida gave that guitar its new home. C.B. says, "After owning many different steels, including three p/p Emmons, absolutely nothing compares to the tone of this new Mullen. Along with it's outstanding quality, this is by far the best guitar I have ever owned in my many years of playing." C.B. can be reached at cbcbward@yahoo.com

What is this "new way of winding"? What makes it special?
