Mid April when I placed my order I never thought I'd get through the next 10+ weeks, but somehow made it Laughing As the order was processing I changed course and went with a 12 string 7x4 setup in extended E9 (many thanks to Mike Perlowin and bOb for your inputs). Seems 12 string ExtE9 is usually on a 3x5; but my idea was to have A-B-C and 4 knees in Emmons Extended E9 and use the extra 4 pedals for my own ideas.

As far as I know, this is the first Mullen ever finished in their new Blueberry Strand mica. I'm sure Mike from Mullen can jump in and correct me if I'm wrong Wink

And here's a shot of my complete 8-10-12 team Winking

Congrats, that's a very pretty color, and I'm sure a very fine machine. What ideas do you have for setup on the extra pedals?

Dennis, where in WA are you? I'm in Olympia. I've got a Rittenberry SD-12 awaiting copedent changeover, be fun to have a comparison playdate with you at some point. It came wit 8+5. Like you, I'm planning to use the extra pedals for a lot of experimenting! Probably add 1 or 2 knee levers, too, I'm a lever junkie and user.

Awesome color. And SD-12 is a great idea.
Be prepared for some challenges in switching to 12. Once you get there you’ll love the low E and especially the low G#.
I find it easier to practice on 12 string, and when opportunity calls I can play a 10 string with reasonable amount of adjustment. It’s less facile to practice on 10 and occasionally play a 12.
Have fun.

Thanks everyone! It's very exciting to have such a beautiful instrument and the new challenge of learning extended E9 on a 12 string. I took a chance going with Blueberry Strand, but wanted something unusual and am really glad I did Smile

Colin: I haven't yet decided specifically what to put on pedals 4 through 7, (I can barely handle pedals 1 - 3 just yet Laughing) but I do know the 1st thing I want to try to work out. I think one of the coolest things about the Emmons E9 copedent is playing a harmonized triad scale on a single fret. What I want to do is figure out the changes necessary to do the same thing, but with a harmonized 7th chord scale instead of triads.

Mike: Thanks again for your expertise. At this point all I have is the standard Emmons ABC-4 knees with some temporary settings on pedals 4 - 7 so nothing interesting there, but when I have a copedent actually worth sharing with you I will Wink

John: I'm in Rainier about 30 minutes outside of Oly, small world! Once I get my pedal 4 - 7 plan setup and installed, it would be fun to compare notes in person, but I have to warn you, I've only been playing E9 a short time so I really suck Winking
