Hello all, im a recent convert to lap steel, picked up a 1960's Airline and Absolutely love it,. not going to go to pedal steel, maybe in the future who knows.

Anyway i was wondering if anyone had any charts etc for slants using open D open E or Open G, i couldnt find anything out on the web and im not really interested in C6 tuning.

Any help would be appreciated.

Get Andy's book, for sure. I found this gentleman's youtube video on the harmonized scale (6ths) very helpful when I was starting out.

This page (forum member) is a must for the learning process. I'm using it to study Jerry Byrd's course. You just choose the tuning and then the chords or scales and you have EVERYTHING....
Hope it helps. Goog luck and Aloha Nui

I would also highly recommend Troy Brenningmyer's videos; they're clear and comprehensive with excellent instructional design.
