Just received this from Guitar Player Magazine.
https://www.guitarplayer.com/players/roger-mcguinn-and-chris-hillman-announces-sweetheart-of-the-rodeo-anniversary-tour

Roger McGuinn, Chris Hillman, Marty Stuart, and the Fabulous Superlatives are teaming up for a Sweetheart of the Rodeo 50th Anniversary Summer Tour. 5 dates mentioned so far in July (CA), September (NY and VA), and October (OH) with more to follow. No mention of a steel player as yet

Does this imply that the Fabulous Superlatives will make up the rest of the band? If so, perhaps it is Chris Scruggs on steel? No offense to Chris, if so, but I hope it'll be either Lloyd or JayDee...

Or possibly Gary Carter, Jim. Gary was the "Superlative" steel player for Marty's TV series although they had no steel player when I saw them in concert recently. It certainly would be great to see Lloyd and/or Jay Dee for a reunion tour.

I can't wait to go and hear/see this show.
It was THAT album, that, started it all for me for the PSG.
Plus, I'd been following the Byrds all along since the Tamborine Man album. My first bands were heavily Byrd influenced.

Not to sound greedy since there is an announced date in NorCal, but’s it two hours plus each way on a Sunday evening with work the next morning and the tix will be $50-$100 plus service charge.

I have seen both Desert Rose and Marty Stuart 25 miles south of me in Petaluma - would love to see the concert there - and it no doubt would be a heck of lot cheaper.

Chris Scruggs in the steel chair? I don’t see it happening. A superb non-pedal player, but this show needs the pedals.
