I don’t think it really matters, whatever you want to do... I have ‘66 bolt on that came without a sticker on pedal rack, I ordered a new one from Billy Knowles and slapped it on... looks good, and guitar still sounds just as good as it did before 😊

Hi Peter,
Well, it's a judgement call... but I'd be tempted to leave it alone. I've had to resort to having some reproductions printed, because the earlier original style (with only the Emmons script and chevron) are just not available.
Even though a new one would look nicer, it's only original once!
Do you still have the Jackson Madison '63 you got from me a few years ago?

I like my instruments to look nice. Unless something is worth a small fortune, a big collector item that would be diminished in value a great deal, I don't mind changing it for nicer appearance and/or better functionality.

Gentlemen, thanks for your replies.
On John Lacey's site Buddy Emmons wrote on january 20, 2002 in his article called "The Emmons Guitar" :
A silk screen company in Nashville made fifty fretboards and fifty Emmons Stereo Guitar decals from drawings I submitted to them.
So I am asuming this guitar is one of the first 50 made.
