Ernie: Was looking at some of your pictures, & saw Catfish Johnnys, I have a tape a fellow gave me a few years back with a guy named Jonny Bondz, Country Steel Guitar, this guy was a real good player, I was wondering if you had ever heard of him? Or if he is still around there. I would like see if he has CD's or anything out or rhythm tracks. I also have him on some video that this fellow [deceased now] had taken, I was impressed. HE played a Shobud Lloyd Green Model guitar.

Ernie,
The fellow you speak of, Johnny Bondz, hails from up my way in upstate NY.(south Glens Falls)He moved down to Florida a long while ago.Yes, Great steeler indeed!and, a fine gentelman as well!He used to play on a local TV show"The Pete Williams Show" and
later had a music store where I bought my first"real"guitar a 71 Gretch Country Gentleman" just what every 14 yr old needed back then! I was always hanging out at his store and bugging the bee-jabers out of him but, Johnny was always very kind and answered all of my questions.Johnny sold SHO~BUD'S and Baldwin amps, as well as Gibson and the usual music store fare. Nice fellow indeed! Johnny was my inspiration to learn and love the steel guitar! What a gift to give a kid!...Thanks Johnny......
