Guys please keep your eyes open for this steel, it was stolen from my friends car last night in the Miami area. Thanks for your help, he had this custom made and it was his first steel that he paid for.

P1: Is suppose to move the low E to F# but its not hooked up with a rod.

He only play 9 strings so the top string above the top E is suppose to be G#. Which P3 raises from G# to A & P5 lowers from G# to G.

That’s a very interesting set up. Is it a Sacred steel type tuning? I’m kind of confused as to why this is in the “guitars for sale section”. Is this a stolen instrument? Shouldn’t it just be a separate posting in “pedal steel” or some other spot than this. This is not a guitar for sale at this point, correct?

Yes it’s a sacred steel setup and I apologize for it being in this section, it was for sale then, but thanks be to God that someone found it this morning.

I guess I'm missing something here.

The original post was to alert us to a STOLEN steel.

Then, a bunch of guys show up trying to buy it.
Of course, it's stolen, and we theoretically don't know where it is, but whatever.

A few months go by, and yesterday there was a post that it is still stolen.
And someone was still trying to buy it.

Then today, it looks like it has been found.

Maybe this was originally for sale a few months ago, then the original poster came along recently and edited not only the original post, but also made incomplete and unclear edits to other posts for a recent theft, and now it has been found?

Does this posting/ad/topic need to be locked?
Is there a giant "reset button" that needs to be pushed?

[italics mine.]

It seems pretty clear to me. Looks like it was posted as a legitimate for sale in Dec 2017 with several replies and bumps.

Then the for sale post was edited on 5/29/2018 to alert people that it had been stolen and subsequently posted that it was since found.

I don't see what the fuss is about.

I guess Nicholas can tell us if it is or is not still for sale currently.

It was posted awhile back for sale, but I realized I didn’t have the picture saved in my phone, so I just used this post to alert the forum of it being stolen.

I know I would be apoplectic and desperate to get word of a theft, and this IS a
unique setup on a S10, so it would make sense to find any pictures to help ID it, no matter the source, before the dark underworld swallowed this up. Very happy for its recovery, and if this thread appears in Pedal Steel, hope you will add-in the details of what you went thru to find it. All well informed is what we like to be. 👁
