Hopefully the topic is self explanatory. So, what has worked the best for all of you as far as placement, combinations etc? |

Stephen,
This is like asking: how long is a piece of string. Are you asking the question as a beginner? This may determine the kind of answers you make get. Actually, the jury is still out on your question.

No, not a beginner, I just wondered how most people are "aligning" the knee levers ie LL LR RR RL,especially, in order to make sure the combinations can be used to the fullest. In others words the least amount of conflicts. [This message was edited by Stephen Gregory on 07 September 2005 at 04:28 PM.] |

What I posted above is Buddy Emmons' "standard" C6th.
I switched my C# lever to LKL because it's similar in function to the F lever on the E9th neck. I found it easier on the brain that way.
I have the Ab lever on LKV but I hardly ever use it.
I raise my middle E to F on RKR. It also raise my high D to Eb (an unusual change, I know).
This is what works best for me, after a few years of experimenting. I think that Buddy's standard is probably optimal, but my brain kept wanting to hit LKL to raise the root after 25 years of E9th. I came to the C6th late in life...
