Here's an 8 string reso "kit" from Gregg McKenna. Complete body constructed of birch laminate, traditional soundwell, cream color bindings, mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard (25" scale). Guitar and neck have been sanded to 150 grit, ready for final sanding before finishing and adding your choice of hardware. The fretboard has frets installed and is pre-drilled for screws and inlay dots (included) in the middle and at the end of the board. Kit also includes an ebony nut and ebony capped maple bridge inserts (no additional hardware, though). You'll need to glue on the neck and fretboard, install the inlays, final sand to 320 grit, apply a finish, fit the insert to the spider bridge, mount your choice of hardware and tuners, and setup the guitar. This is a great opportunity to get a high quality 8 string reso from a luthier who is no longer making instruments. Do the finish work yourself, at your leisure, and save a ton of $$$.
This instrument has been safely stored for several years and is in the same condition as the day it arrived. I'll ship this to any of the 50 US states for $475.
