The basic GFI sm-10 is a pull-release student model. It is designed to be a 3 pedal 4 lever guitar. Sometimes players start with 2 pedals to simplify and reduce costs.

GFI makes lever kits and I would be surprised if they don't sell you the parts for pedal 3. That said, I would say that the c pedal is a bit trickier to set up because of the raise and lower on the E string and the longer throw needed for the full step raise on the C pedal. Nonetheless you can learn to do it. The forum is a good information resource that can help you.

Check the GFI website for information on the guitar, pricing on parts and contact info. It has been a long time since I owned that model but I had a couple in the past. I found their customer service to be very good back in the day.
