I received a message from our fellow forumite Jan Jonsson from Sweden a few days ago. Jan is working on tablature for Lloyd Green recordings (studio and live tracks) and he does an outstanding job with it. He asked me about the idea to add the tablature he did so far on the website www.lloydgreentribute.com and I immediately said "Wow, that has to happen!"

So if you want to explore the Lloyd Green magic a little deeper, here's your chance! The website now has a new "Tablature" section with several transcribed Lloyd Green arrangements. The tablature has been approved by Lloyd, to confirm.

PS.: The new section replaces the old "Links" section which was already outdated (most of the links did not work anymore). If your browser still shows the "Links" tab, just refresh the page and it should work.

My sincere thanks to Jan for doing this work, allowing all of us a closer look in the "Lloyd Green Universe"!

Enjoy!

Kind Regards, Walter

Hello,

I am very pleased to have found a place for a repository of my tablature of Lloyd Green's music. This will give everyone with an interest in my transcriptions a better overview of what is currently available. The repository will also make the distribution of existing (and upcoming) tablature much more practical than it has been thus far.

I want to extend my thanks to Walter for being so kind to host the repository on his excellent and extensive tribute web site. I could not ask for a better place to store the transcriptions. I am also honored to have the support from Lloyd in documenting my analysis of his steel guitar playing.

Finally, I would like to show my appreciation to all forum members who have donated money to this forum by purchasing samples from my first batch of transcriptions. Thank you for supporting this great forum of knowledge and discussion.

Best regards,

-- Jan

OMG; ya'll are making me teary-eyed again. This is incredible for a chance for steel players to actually feel where the great Lloyd Greens hands GO when he plays some of the most passion filled phrasing on the steel guitar. Jan; I am so proud of you and have been proud of you ever since I met you almost 20 years ago when we played steel guitars together. Then you got my Blue Darlin Eddy Fulawka made for me; as that is the best hand shake I could ever give a person. You have always had a perfect ear for what is really going on musically; and this is another way of "How to hear music" you are presenting with Lloyd Green's music. I know Lloyd is so proud of you too.....Continue on my Brother, Love ya.

Jan - thanks for sharing your transcriptions. I think they're some of the best tabs I've run across. Here's hoping that you find time some day to transcribe the rest of Revisited.

This is great. I just posted a video of the Calhoun Twins singing "Walking Piece Of Heaven". Lloyd played an outstanding break on the song. I would love top see the tab on that one.

Ricky: I owe you so much for your mentoring and support when I was a newbie on pedal steel. This is my way of giving something in return.

Rick and Paul: your wishes have just come true ... check the tablature section.

Best regards,

/Jan
