Their used to be a site where you could look up Zum serial numbers to get the date. Zumsteel Gallery or something. Is there such a site anymore. I hate to bother Bruce. |

Jerry, I really appreciate that. It's what I was looking for, but unfortunately it didn't help. I don't think it goes until the end of Bruces manufacturing. But that's not the only problem. We think there's something wrong with the number on this guitar. It starts D1093 and I don't think it ever had 9 pedals and just 3 knees. The number is very plainly stamped. There is no misreading it. Guess I need to talk to Bruce about it again. |

Hi Danny I have seen a couple of Zum's (one of mine included) where there was a change in the configuration before the guitar was built...but Bruce had already assigned the serial number to the initial build setup ...ie: if you ordered a 9 and 10, but later changed it to a 9 and 9 before he started building it the serial # would be D10910xxxx ...as happened with my first Hybrid in 2008 !!
It's a distinct possibility hehe ..... _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9

You're welcome. I never noticed that it only covers to 2007 and barely into the 1000's.
Best of luck deciphering it all. |

Thanks Paddy. I could see that happening. It's just hard to believe anyone ordered 9 & 3. I'll call him one of these days and see if he can shed light on it. Got the right parts and busy adding 2 knees to it now. |

Yes Danny 3 knees would be a bit on the light side - setup-wise ! perhaps he was going to order some more later hehe _________________ 14'Zumsteel Hybrid D10 9+9
