Paul thanks for posting; a most beautiful piece of work by Lloyd Green. Mr Green is my most favorite player of all time. ...
The singing is very good, too - they have been around the business for many years. The twins operate a large entertainer bus company in Florida.

Sounds like Lloyd has 10 pedals and 10 knee levers. Amazing what he can do with just three pedals and the basic knee levers.
Didn't Lloyd come up with the E to F lever raise? Pretty sure he came up with that. |

| Mark you are correct. Lloyd did come up with the F lever. He stated at the Texas show that was the last pull added on his steel. |

| This is another Masterpiece by the "Great Lloyd Green"...But everything Lloyd plays is a "Masterpiece. I am 66 years old...and I have never herd the like's of "Lloyd Green"...But Mr "Tommy White" is very close. |

| Note that Lloyd played this live on the floor. Plus there was no Eq added at any point only a bit of plate reverb. He is amazing! |

Sadly, very few people have heard or will ever hear this tune by the Calhoun Twins, one of whom is now deceased.
The reasons I am responding are two-fold. First, this has touched a number of you and I must say I am equally moved by your reactions. Thank you. Thank you. This was as good as I am capable of playing.
Which brings me to the second reason. Robbie Turner, one of the best damn steel players on the planet and one of the finest recording engineers, recorded and mixed this album in his studio. We cut it about 8 years ago.
Now Robbie ain’t gonna mix any bad steel…not if it’s any good. He knows and understands steel sound, being one of the top session players today, including being the steel guy for Chris Stapleton who won every possible award at the CMA awards among others. Well, I played my LDG Sho-Bud through my Fender Twin that night, but the speaker was a JBL K-130 15†speaker that I plugged into. It, in turn, was in an old original Sho-Bud single channel amp, one of the countless amps Robbie owns. He gave me what I asked for, a little reverb and turned me up in the mix.
Thanks Robbie…and thank you folks for caring about the way we players of the past, most of whom are now gone, envisioned the sound of the steel guitar.
And Tommy White….when he or Paul Franklin speak, I listen. They are, inarguably, the two best players I’ve ever heard. The three of us have very similar views about everything related to this instrument.
They are very special, brilliant musicians and people who carry our past legacy on their very broad musical shoulders. They, too, have tapped into that “source of knowledge†whatever and wherever it is.â€
