I was invited to participate in a local art exhibit ... and they asked me to cast a guitar on site as a demonstration to conclude the show yesterday...
I figured I'd do up a long scale Tenor pan to go with my 22.5 incher ...
I cleaned it up abit this morning ... probably wont have time to mess with it til summer (one more quarter at school)
Everyone seemed to have a good time ... I'll be playing it this fall the HSGA Denver convention |

All done ... super happy with it ðŸ¤
I went with a "satin" finish ...
My 'ol buddy HowardR came by yesterday to see it ... and the pigs ðŸ¤
Once I get used to the longer scale ... I'll post a tune that I'm playin' in Ft Collins in a few months ... it is more "articulate" than its little brother ... 🤠|

She's lovely, tall and skinny - and definitely the only one on your block! I'm looking forward to hearing it as well. Where'd you get the spiffy octagonal "carousel" knob? Personal stash or is somebody making them again? |

Question Rick, those pinholes...is there anyway to alleviate those? Is there some kind of filler? If you were to polish the Lap Stl. they would be even more visible.
I remember in 9th grade metal shop we did some castings and everyone's in the class had pin holes and even bigger. I'm not sure, but I think they come from grains of sand dropping down from the upper part of the mold? Is this what happens? Our stuff I think was some kind of "pot metal" and all holes got filled I believe with plastic wood and later got painted, so it didn't matter. You did an admirable job Rick and hope you post a video once you get her up and running.
