Hi Pat, Im gonna guess its Greg Leisz. Its hard to see the pic, but it looks like the Williams guitar he plays. _________________ 1976 Sho-Bud Pro II, 1976 Sho-Bud LDG, BF Fender Deluxe, Evans FET 500 LV, BF Princeton Reverb, '68 Vibrolux Reverb |

I think it's Greg Leisz. I think he's very good, but it's a little unfair to the many unemployed steelers, that he gets hired from everybody and his uncle. _________________ Fender Kingman, Sierra Crown D-10, Evans Amplifier, Soup Cube. |

If it is Greg, Clapton is a lucky guy to be playing guitar for him!

Not sure of the time frame of the photo but Greg played pedal steel on Eric Clapton's "Old Sock" album in 2013 and "The Breeze: An Appreciation of J J Cale" in 2014. Greg was also part of Clapton's tour in 2013. Nice gig! |

Thanks ya'll. Just trying to verify, as I saw Greg on a ShoBud II as well. I appreciate all of the answers.
Thx again, Pat |

Thx Bill!
Looked like the cameraman couldn’t find what guitar was playing the signature lick at the beginning. Another “where’s that sound coming from†moment for our beloved PSG🎶 |

There are tons of notes on the guitar- and lots of players that can play all of them really fast. Greg just happens to play the right ones at the right time. It is not luck that he plays with Jackson Browne, the Eagles, Charles Lloyd, Brill Frisell~ the list is endless. It is not that he gets along with everyone (he does)- lots of players do that. He has worked as hard at his craft for most of his life as anyone I know. His timing, execution, and style are unique and highly sought after. Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity. |
