As I mentioned before, I'm trying to help a lady sell off her late father's equipment and it's turning into a chore. I've listed a couple of tweed 115E Peavey cabinets which sound great but weigh a ton and nobody wants to pay shipping. Also, there's a pair of Peavey 115 International PA cabinets with Black Widows and horns - same story - too heavy. Guitar Center won't buy them 'em because they're passive and I really don't want to deal with Craig's List crazies. Also got a Peavey XR600-B PA head built into a road case that I can barely lift. It's all good equipment but is pretty much in the dinosaur realm. I'm thinking of parting out all the cabinets, selling the speakers & horns and trashing the cabinets - it would be a shame but it's looking like the only practical way. IS there still a market out there for Peavey 15s? There is very little music going on in this area and no bands to sell it to. Any suggestions? Talk to Jonny Bondz (Bondz music in Wildwood). He is a PV Dealer and takes consignments and maybe an alternative. He gets his cut if sold but one way to go. |

Thanks, Jack - I may do that with the PA stuff. I've got some interest in the tweed cabs so I'm waiting to hear on them. Getting rid of this older heavy equipment is a pain in the wazoo! _________________ 2022 Brook Lyn, 2014 Martin 000-18, 2022 Ibanez GB-10, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, understanding wife of 49 years. I've used CraigsList regularly, and never ran into a lunatic, but have no doubt they're out there. One suggestion is find a friend who would post the items for you, who wouldn't mind screening out the crazies. Posting is free, and you get a wide audience, but you're likely to need to haggle. Just add 20% and list "Or Best Offer" (OBO), and expect to have to cut the price. Best of luck. _________________ Mullen G2 SD10, Excel S10; Peavey 400s (LTD, Vegas, Session, and Renown); Nashville 112; etc... |

Doug, in our area there is a high percentage of weirdos and my wife doesn't want them coming to the house. We found a steel friendly store that will do a consignment deal. _________________ 2022 Brook Lyn, 2014 Martin 000-18, 2022 Ibanez GB-10, two homebrew Teles, Evans RE200 amp, understanding wife of 49 years.
