Thanks Jack.
Most of the steels I have owned that feel like they sing for me happen to have cast endplates and necks. Franklin, Emmons and Clinesmith. I was wondering if the LeGrandes were an exception. _________________ Bob |

I think the very slight porosity of castings contribute to their ability to "ring" best.
Bells are cast, not CNC cut from billet. That should tell us something. _________________ My rig: Infinity and Telonics.
Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg? |

Herb,I agree,Tiny air bubbles in the casting help the aluminum ring. _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5...
