I've never played through one, but I understand that Webb amps are highly regarded within the steel guitar community. My question is, is there a certain model that is the most popular?
Thanks!
Jake

The 6-14 E with the 15" JBL is the standard steel model.

That's the one I have, only in black.
I had Rick Johnson build me an extension speaker cabinet to match it and Tom Bradshaw even sent me a "Webb" nameplate to put on it. At NO cost even!
That Tom is quite a guy, bless his heart. Very Happy

I have the Starburst Model, so far the best amp I've ever played through. It doesn't have the Eq, side which I do not miss.

I never use the 5 band EQ. I nearly bought a 6-14GP recently which is supposedly the same amp, minus the EQ section.

Jake, I suggest you try one before you buy one. People generally aren't on the fence about a Webb. They either love them or couldn't get a tone out of one. Some day's I'm both myself. They all sound a little different and seems like power fluctuation affects the tone more than a Peavey for example. But, when they sound good, nothing will touch one!
