I know many steel players are also bass players. I always wondered why. Maybe someone can educate me as to why this is. Anyway, we have had lots of requests to make a Mud Stand for bass amps. So here it is. The big boy. It will hold amps up to 23 inches tall, 36 inches wide, 20 inches deep and up to 80 lbs. in weight. This stand will also hold some of the bigger steel guitar amps. It breaks down into a tight unit that is easy to carry just like our other stands. They are 79.00 and you can order them direct from our website. www.mudstand.com As always, we will make a donation to the forum for every one sold to a forum member.
Why do you need one? When you place your bass amp directly on a hollow stage, your amp can pick up resonant frequencies that can make your tone sound loose, muddy or boomy. Because the Mud Stand is made of acoustical foam, it isolates your amp from the stage and makes your tone tight and punchy.

They really are great. The design is clever and they're really lightweight. Great service all around. _________________ Mullen Discovery 3x4
