I recently had the good fortune to acquire an Evans FET 500. I really like the Depth and Expand switches. Along with the Treble, Body and Bass controls I can get an amazing variety of sounds. This is one terrific amp!
The only drawback is its weight. At 58 lb it's quite a load. I'm considering building a lighter pine cabinet but the 23 lb JBL E130-4 speaker is a good place to start saving weight. Problem is it sounds fantastic. Has anyone found a good sounding lightweight replacement speaker for the FET 500? |

A second vote for the Sica. _________________ 2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)

The Sica is listed as a bass speaker. The thing I really love about the JBL is the beautiful sheen on the top end. Can the Sica deliver the highs? |
