I will probably be selling this guitar soon,,(unfinished as these old 79 year old hands don't function the way they used to thanks to Mr. Auther Ritis). It is a very nice light weight guitar with 5 pedal 4 knee levers. I have disassembled completely and cleaned everything. It is pretty much back together strung up but not rodded. Really all that is lacking is a lkr lever (was in the process of building a reversing mechanism). Has 99.9% of all the parts, including rods and 9 hole bell cranks. I'll will post pictures as soon as I get my computer back from repair. Will be asking $800 plus ship. If there is any interest please let me know as soon as possible as I will be listing on other websites,,,would prefer to sell to forumite.

Here are some pics of this guitar. The guitar is VERY well built by Freeman Cowgar, a well respected player and builder who passed away sometime back. The guitar is very light weight but the case weighs a ton!! Due to shipping cost would prefer to sell locally.

The Cougar steel was the first guitar I considered when I first got interested in the instrument. I didn't realize (then) the quality in the Cougar...I guess mainly because it wasn't one of the "Big" labels...so I passed on it.
Those knee lever stops are the same concept as the Sierra Crown series. The pedal mechanics very well thought out also. Appears very friendly to work on.
