RKL
On the Legrande it was previously on RKR and the 3rd string lower was on RKL, but on the P Pull it's on RKL and the 3rd string lower is on RKR.
Guess which one was easiest to change to make them the same !
One day I may change them both to RKR 4th string raise and RKL for the 3rd string lower, but not today... _________________ Emmons L-II , Fender Telecasters, B-Benders , Eastman Mandolin ,

I've had it LKV,LKR,RKR and currently LKL. I believe it doesn't make any difference, but it should be opposite leg and direction from C-C#, so you can use both raises with 5+6 pedals instead of switching to the 7th pedal for the 4 chord! |

Well, there's a position I never thought of! ![Cool](images/smiles/icon_cool.gif) _________________ -𝕓𝕆𝕓- (admin) - Robert P. Lee - Recordings - Breathe - D6th - Video |

Thanks for all the feedback!
Jim, with the LKR are you playing C6 with both feet regularly? and do you have any changes on the RKR for C6? |

Jim, have you departed from the "standard" pedal arrangement (5 through 8), or do you not use the "5 & 7" combination? |

Brint, my floor pedals are totally standard, including the original P4 (raises 4 & 8 from A to B). As for using 5&7 together, I don't do that much. Instead, I'll lower my 3rd string a half step and reach out to grab the 1st string. Those will give me the same notes as P7 would, without having to use 2 feet and worry that I'm gonna whomp my volume pedal accidentally when I put my foot back on it. (Of course, I can't milk the 3rd and 4th string raises a whole step using this method, but my style doesn't require that.) _________________ www.JimCohen.com

In the past, I normally had it on LKR, sometime as a half stop, also raising to B. I've also had it on LKR just going to Bb. On my current C6 tuning, I have it on LKV. _________________ Carter D10 8p/8k, Dekley S10 3p/4k C6 setup,Regal RD40 Dobro, Recording King Professional Dobro, NV400, NV112,Ibanez Gio guitar, Epiphone SG Special (open D slide guitar) . I've got an unusual set up for that raise. I have it on LKL, but with a half-step notch that goes to B natural. The half-raise was tricky to get used to but Bill (Rudolph at Williams) gave it a pretty solid feel bump. I used to have just the A to Bb raise on RKR but that lever was pulling so much stuff (on my other guitars) it was hard to use. Since I have the John Hughey lowers on both inward knees (G to F on LKR and E to D on RKL) I was running out of places to put the A to Bb. So far so good on the double raise on LKL. |
