Are these knee lever brackets Emmons parts or no? I'm looking to swap the black levers for the longer 7" alum levers like I think came on the older p/p's but I've never seen one that looks quite like these, although I'm much more knowledgeable about LeGrande's than the older p/p's. The bottom lever is the one that came off the guitar. As you can see, there's quite a difference in diameter between the levers on the guitar and the ones I'm wanting to put on. This guitar has quite a few non-Emmons parts. I'm pretty sure these aren't factory but I figure there's a chance they changed the brackets at some point. So, are the lever brackets correct or not?

Tyler, is this the 68 mentioned in your signature ? My gut tells me those may be early factory parts, but who the heck knows, I am not a factory expert. I'm sure someone here knows.
here are the brackets on my 81.
The RKR bracket has the rod holes like yours, but on the side of the bracket , it's an L bracket. Seems to me that this could have been a technical upgrade.
the RKL has the K lever secured to the cross shaft

Tyler, I would have to have a closer look, but I believe you can change the levers (put the new levers on the old brackets). All you will need to do is take the old brackets off and polish them.... thanks jack |
