I got tired of the looks of my Roland Micro Cube amp, so I got some tweed and an old grill cloth and made a micro tweed. Love the sound of these amps, just not their appearance.

Very nice photo, James. I have enjoyed hearing and seeing your guitars for quite some time now. |

Now that is cool!! I need to do that with my Roland Cube 80X! I just use it for a practice amp but at times I use it on my solo gig if the Princeton Reverb is acting up.
Where did you get the tweed.... Mojotone? |

Steve: nice looking guitars and amp! Tell me the one on the left. I recognize The New Yorker. Did you build one on the left.
As usual James I like your builds and your playing.

Hi Joe, The steel on the left was one I made about 20 years ago from Koa and aluminum. I took my inspiration from rocket ships, the National New Yorker and the Empire State Building. The pickup is a Fender Lace Sensor. It plays and sounds pretty good to my ears. |

Looks good! Some cupcake style knobs would help round out the look. |

Hi Tim,
Thanks! Are you thinking of putting the cupcake knobs on the guitar or amp? |
