Nice arrangement, Mike. You keep picking choice classic rock tunes that wouldn't have occurred to me as steel guitar material. Cheers. |

Thanks James. I was just going through my old back catalogue and seeing what is possible to work on the Lap Steel. It is my way of assimilating C6 tuning! |

Nice, Mike, I heard flavors of Chris Isaac's "Wicked Games". That would be a nice song to do. _________________ Excel 3/4 Pedal With An 8 String Hawaiian Neck, Sierra Tapper (10 string with a raised fretboard to fret with fingers), Single neck Fessenden 3/5

Sweet and smooth playing. I guess you practiced that a bit. _________________ Don't go in the water after lunch. You'll get a cramp and drown. - Mother. |

Thank you all for your kind comments.
Bert, I am finding that there is a lot of possibilities for this tuning even on a 6 stringer if you are willing to take the time to find them. I still find it much easier thinking in conventional guitar tuning but slowly I am getting my head around these 6th tunings...........I hope!
David, I had played that tune so many times in my younger days that it should have been a breeze......it was not !
One thing I would like to add: The making of backing tracks takes such a long time and especially for me, programming drum tracks. How I miss not having a band! But it was great to break out the Flamenco guitar and play the rhythm guitar. I had a freak thumb injury a couple of years ago that made me step back from working as a Flamenco guitarist(Much better now). I did feel that the guitar added something to the flavour of this tune. |
